SMARTFORMED ALLOY
Cannondale aluminum construction is focused on delivering the strongest, lightest, best handling frame possible.
Premium 6069 and 6061 alloy tube sets are highly manipulated to extract every ounce of performance. Double-pass welds provide stronger, smoother joints and eliminate the need for internal reinforcements or external welded-on gussets. Each frame is heat treated after welding to maximize the strength and hardness of the aluminum, increasing long-term durability.
These and other processes allow Cannondale to continue to offer a lifetime warranty on each of its alloy frames and forks.
